Maddie and Nick got married at David's Country Inn in Hackettstown, New Jersey on April 24, 2026. Spring timing paid off: the cherry tree out front was in full bloom and the ivy on the inn was as green as it gets.
The first look
They saw each other for the first time on the brick walk out front, with the ivy-covered inn behind them. Then we walked them over to the cherry blossoms for a few portraits, which are some of our favorites from the whole year.
A staircase and a telephone booth
The inn has a lot of character inside, and we used all of it. Maddie came down the grand staircase in her gown, and the two of them squeezed into the old wooden telephone booth for a few frames that look straight out of an old movie.
The ceremony
They said their vows in the garden in front of the stone fireplace, framed by white drapes and a wall of evergreens. Family photos followed right there on the patio.
A VW bus and a lot of glow sticks
A vintage green VW bus was parked out front for cocktail hour. Inside, the reception went from first dances to a packed floor fast, and once the glow sticks came out nobody sat down. We wrapped the night with a few portraits by the front door under the lanterns.
Planning a wedding at David's Country Inn?
It's a great pick if you want a venue with real character. The ivy-covered front, the staircase and the garden ceremony site give you a lot of variety without leaving the property, and the front steps glow after dark. If you're getting married there, we'd love to hear about it.
